Prospecting other MLMers

By Bill Morgan

Q: How to Solicit other Network Marketers??? People already involved in Network Marketing are prime prospects for other MLMs. The major difference is they won't have to be "sold" on the benefits of Network Marketing because they already understand the concept. All MLMs, however, are not created equal. There are excellent companies, terrible companies and everything in between. A lot of people I run in to believe that their company is the best; has the best products or services, etc. (I'm no different). The truth is that if I can get another Network Marketer to look at what I'm doing, they usually see why mine is "better" and "more simple" (read duplicatable) and "more lucrative" and "more ethical" than what they are currently involved in. My question is this: What are the best ways to get the word out to this elite group of people who are already involved in Network Marketing without offending anyone?

A: My own thoughts on the subject are that there isn't a "market" to tap in actually targeting current MLMers for prospecting. On the other hand, I am in the process of recruiting someone right now because I knew they were dissatisfied with their company and their upline. I truly believe I have something better, and I just held it out. I don't do more than that because of the general way I feel about high pressure tactics in any endeavor. If I have to talk someone into coming into my company by wearing them down, then I'm likely not getting a good potentially successful distributor in my downline... I'm getting someone with a personality I can dominate, perhaps, but that's not what I'm after.

My "tactic" is what I have stated in the past : Build it and they will come. If you have something good, it will attract smart people... something that just looks pretty attracts crows, among other things :)
