Finally realized I'd been doing something that might be of use to others in MLM.

Keep after those negative co-workers

I have two guys in my office who have known since before we signed up that Rhea and I were starting an Amway business. Their reactions were not encouraging. "That pyramid scam?", was the most favorable. The curious thing is that they continue to bring it up with me. They want to know how it's going for me, and what my experiences have been with it. I answer their questions, and bring in products and literature and leave them on my desk. Invariably, they have a few more questions. I'm not shoving it down anybody's throat, mind you.

Here's the best part. I show them postings from a.b.m-l, and my responses to them. Sometimes I have them proof my follow-ups for consistency and readability. This has the dual effect of making my posts more coherent and exposing them on a daily basis to someone who wants to do the business *right*. In the course of discussing the posts I get to express the philosophical underpinnings that drive me in this business. They've gone from being very negative to supporting my efforts. They've taught me the value of persistence, and helped me look good on this forum. One of them in particular is very good at the art of the dialectic. He can spot a flaw in reasoning a mile away, and has inadvertently trained me in thinking logically about the business.

If you have people like this as co-workers, I highly recommend that you let them help you. Who knows? They might get turned on to idea of doing it themselves.
