Would you like Unlimited Power?

In the never-ending quest for self improvement and increased personal effectiveness, I've been reading Anthony Robbins bestselling book Unlimited Power. If you haven't had a chance to read this book, I would highly recommend it.

Robbins says that the key to success in life is modeling the beliefs, mental processes and actions of successful people. In other words, find someone who is doing or achieving what you would like to have, and model yourself after that person.

When you look at network marketing you can see that the business is set up exactly along these lines. Network marketing utilizes the power of duplication to achieve fast paced growth in the marketing of products and services.

We all know that the quickest and surest way to success is to model successful people in your upline. They've made all the mistakes. They've figured out what works. And then, we must keep in mind that whatever we do will be modeled by people in our downline. So we need to set ourselves up for success by doing the business in a way that can be easily duplicated by almost anyone. Then the power of exponential growth can take over.

Robbins also points out that "if you can find enough reasons to do something, you can get yourself to do anything." That is another excellent point for network marketers to remember. Often times people just assume they know why they want to do the business. They never really stop to think about it. But when you understand exactly why you want it, you will be much more motivated. And saying that you want "more money" or "financial independence" isn't really enough. In and of itself, money is nothing more than ink on paper or electronic blips in a computer. Ask yourself why you want the money, what it will enable you to do, to be. Understanding that will provide the motivation needed to overcome the fear or rejection and other obstacles that stand in the way of your business.
