The words above are the only words that a network marketer needs to hold dear to their heart. If you can't repeat it, then you will surely fail.
You have probably heard it a million times, teach those in your downline how to duplicate the same process that made you and those in your upline successful. Do it from the very beginning, during their initial training, when you sign them up, but do it from the start.
Teaching how to duplicate your opportunities plan is very simple. Remember back to when you were taught the most effective ways to succeed in the business. Was there a plan? Were there guide lines? Was it just told to you verbally? My suggestion is to put it in writing.
When you have a new distributor in your downline, they are usually overwhelmed by the fast pace that comes with network marketing. They are trying to learn forms, products, approaches, and time management. In their initial training they are given so much material that a lot of things not written down will be forgotten. That is why it is imperative to write the duplication system down. When I bring someone into my business, one of the most important pieces of paper that they will receive is my duplication plan. This way they will have it and can refer to it at any time.
Another thing that I would recommend to business builders is that you be honest and UPFRONT! There is nothing worse or disastrous to your business than to be shady or deceiving. If you want to approach someone about your opportunity, let them know upfront what it is (i.e. company name, product, service), I can tell you that by doing this you will be able to set more appointments for showing your opportunity. If you truly believe in your product or service, show it. Don't be quiet about it, let everyone know what you do, and that you would be glad to show them what is making a difference in your life. Don't hide it, show it!
One final comment in closing. I know that many of you are successful or are working on becoming successful in your network marketing business. Keep a very positive attitude, like Phillip Wells of Excel says "Too many times people think about being positive after they make some money. If they start out positive then the money will come. Some people will make money, some will make excuses, but no one will make both".
Learn your business, products, and most of all be sensitive to peoples needs. The more of a friend your are to your prospects, the more likely they are to become part of your business.
